With MirrorLink, you can connect a smartphone to the Sony radio via USB and its features will be “mirrored” on the radio’s 6.1 inch screen. You also get control over music and apps from the radio.

Navigation on your phone, now displays on the car radio’s roomy screen.  And the radio charges the phone as you drive.

But there are limitations. The Sony XAV-601BT will only support certain phones out of the gate including the Nokia 701, 700, 603, N8, E7, C7, X7, and C6-01. More compatible phones will be added.

  1. Sony has not announced the release date for the XAV-701hd. Did you called Sony and they just told you? Neither Amazon nor Crutchfield haven’t even listed the product yet.
