OEM Audio Plus Aims at Scion

share on:

OEM Audio Plus makes a line of amps and speakers that custom fit Scion vehicles.

OEM Audio Plus for tCIt’s currently marketed to Scion car dealers under the Optomize Scion Program, although there may be plans for aftermarket products in the future.  And the company may expand beyond Scion, as well.

OEM Audio Plus was started by former Boston Acoustics car OEM business development manager Sandy Lirag.

Its products are OEM-grade systems that fit in the nooks and crannies of 3 Scion vehicles and work with the factory radio, so you can add to the sound system without losing car interior space.

The systems cost about $1,399 and they require typically 2- 4 hours for an installation. (Updated)

At the heart of the system for the 2012 Scion tC is an 8-channel DSP amplifier rated at 360 watts RMS.  There’s a second amplifier for a subwoofer (130 watts RMS @ 1 ohm) and an 8-inch subwoofer.  The system also includes replacement upgrades for the 8 factory speakers for the car.  Also included is a wiring harness.

Systems are also available for the Scion xB and iQ.
