Elettromedia USA, which sells the Hertz and Audison car audio brands, has hired Rob Wempe as Director of Sales, replacing Ken Wiseman, who recently becameDirector of Sales for Phoenix Gold.
Wempe was formerly National Sales Manager for Diamond Audio/Cerwin Vega (DIG) and has also served as National Sales Manager at Rockford Corp.

Wempe said, “I’ve always been a specialist retail guy. When I was at Brandsmart I was a founding member of MERA…And that’s what this brand is all about.” He added, “They have the right strategy, they are sold only to specialist retailers….So the strategy is to sell the product cleanly through the best retailers in the country and make it a profit haven for them.”
While Wempe believes Hertz and Audison car audio speakers and amplifiers have room to grow within certain markets, “We want to make sure we don’t over-distribute so it doesn’t hurt the profit strategy.”
At Diamond Audio/Cerwin Vega, Wempe will be replaced by Justin Miller, who has served as a factory salesperson at Rockford in the past and now becomes a regional sales manager. Jason Digos remains a regional sales manager and Bob Chanthavongsa, Director of Sales, Worldwide will assume some of the national duties.

Congratulations Rob!
Is that the bright yellow shirt or your forehead causing the glare on my monitor? I can’t tell for sure.
