Steve Jobs Passes

Updated. Steve Jobs, the iconic technology CEO, passed away Wednesday at age 56 after fighting a battle with pancreatic cancer that forced him to step down as CEO of Apple in August.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.

Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

It could be said that Steve transformed the consumer electronics industry, including the car electronics industry.

CEoutlook followers know that we were avid fans. We watched his press conferences each year as he dazzled us with the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

Steve  had a style of understated exuberance that lit up the stage.

We are truly and deeply saddened at his passing.
