Verizon to Switch to Tiered Data Plans July 7

Verizon told Fierce Wireless that it will switch to tiered data plans on July 7.

Data plans will now come in four options (instead of one flat rate at $30). Users may pay $10 for 75MB/month, $30 for 2GB, $50 for 5GB or $80 for 10GB.

  1. Yep… They’ll tout it to be GREAT for customers when in reality they’ll be raking in millions in overage charges because people will underbuy the plans.

    I’m sure if you call them and ask if you go over, will you automaticly be put into the next plan, the answer will be …HAHAHAHAHAHA..I’m sorry sir/maam I can’t authorize that.
