Directus has expanded it’s Prodigy One navigation/WiFi+ system to be compatible with aftermarket Clarion, Kenwood, and Pioneer radios as well as OEM Scion/Alpine radios that are navigtion-ready.
The kit adds navigation and gives you the option to add WiFi or other features like Bluetooth, back up camera or even a radar detector. The basic kit is $1099 for the Scion/Alpine navigation-ready radio. Directus claims most consumers don’t opt for the full navigation package when they buy the car.
The Prodigy One kit is $899 for Kenwood, Pioneer and Clarion double DIN radios. The WiFi module is another $149, which you can combine with a phone or portable hotspot for a constant connection.
The kit gives you turn-by-turn directions and rerouting with 3D map views, and junction views of highway intersections. Maps are stored on a 4GB SD card on the Scion/Alpine version.
Directus already makes Prodigy One kits for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles and for the Volvo XC-90.
