Buick announced its version of a Pandora car radio and it’s heading to every Buick model in the 2013 model year.
Called IntelliLink, it lets you connect your phone to the radio to stream Pandora or Stitcher or other audio. You use a Bluetooth or USB connection.
The radio also gives you either a 7- or 8-inch screen with touch control. And there’s also voice control and steering wheel controls.
The system is similar to the Chevy MyLink announced in February. Buick’s version will be offered first on the 2012 Verano, Regal and LaCrosse models and then roll out to all vehicles in model year 2013.
According to GM’s research, about 70 percent of all new car buyers want some form of connectivity, whether it’s to connect to music or an app.
Also, by the end of 2013, there will be 1.1 billion smartphones on the market, said Buick citing research from Parks Associates.
Buick also offers Bose and Harman Kardon sound systems.

Does this new head unit simply offer A2DP bluetooth audio streaming or does it allow display and control of the smartphone?
