The pain at the pump is not just about the price of gasoline. Yes, gas prices vary by state, but there are other factors in each state which determine just how harmful a hike in gas prices is to the local economy.

If you do business in Iowa, Ohio, North Dakota, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, West Virginia, Indiana or Alabama, you may want to take a look. The article concludes that higher gas prices could send localities in Alabama or West Virginia, back into recession.
