Yes, we’ve heard of “smartphone cars” that integrate the car radio with a smartphone but Hyundai is looking to develop a “tablet car.”
Hyundai is talking to Samsung about developing cars with their own tablet computers for models starting in 2013, reports the Chinese People’s Daily online. The car’s tablet computer could communicate with a users’ smartphone.
Hyundai is also said to be negotiating with several technology companies in addition to Samsung.
If you think Hyundai is getting too technogeek, Visteon is not far behind. It showed a concept dashboard built around an iPad at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
