Phoenix Gold will unveil at the Consumer Electronics Show in January new slim mount subwoofers under the SL series.
Designed for use in small, sealed box enclosures, the woofers have a mounting depth of 3.5- or 4-inches for the 10- and 12-inch versions, respectively.
Power is rated at 300 watts RMS with 25mm of peak to peak excursion.
The slim mount woofers will join other new products from Phoenix Gold (an Aamp of America brand) to be announced at CES including a new line of mini digital amplifiers.
Also at CES, Aamp brand, iSimple will deliver one of the first kits to use an FM modulator-plus-Bluetooth connection for a fully wireless connection to stream audio from a smartphone through the car’s sound system. The TranzIt BLU works with an Android phone to wirelessly link to both the car radio and the phone. The approach can also be found in New Potato’s kit for the iPhone.
iSimple plans to deliver TranzIt BLU versions for the Blackberry and other smartphones too. It will ship the TranzIt BLU for Android phones in the first quarter at an expected $99.
