Amazon Ad Attacks iPad

We all know that a big advantage of E Ink based eReaders over tablets like the iPad is great visibility in direct sunlight, at the beach or by the pool. Now Amazon is promoting that fact unabashedly, in a TV ad that takes a pot shot at both the price and low poolside visibility for tablets versus optimized eReaders.

eReaders from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo, etc. are all E Ink based although some eReaders, especially some newer models are forgoing the clear E Ink screen in favor of LCD screens, which offer the advantages of color plus video capability.
