Oliver Marketing, a rep firm in Auburn, WA has acquired the 12 volt business of Pacific Northwest rep firm and distributor N&S Marketing, effective September 1. With the acquisition, Oliver Marketing also returns to the role of a 12 volt distributor, under a newly formed entity called Sound House.
With the merged rep firms, Oliver Marketing adds Kenwood, VOXX, Harman, Dynamat, Jensen, Dual, and Lucas Lighting to the brands it represents (or in some cases expands the territory for representing the brand). These brands will also be distributed under Sound House.
Veteran sales reps for N&S Ryan Christie and Barry Lightfoot are joining Oliver Marketing, announced Bob Oliver, President of Oliver Marketing.
Sound House, Auburn, WA will also be the Elite Distributor Alliance, EDA, member for the Pacific Northwest, which allows them a wider mix of lines including Metra and Triton, said Oliver. EDA is a distributor buying group with approximately 12 distributor members.
Oliver added, “This acquisition allows Oliver to be the representative for multiple brands for the entire West Coast including Rockford Fosgate and Kenwood.”
N&S Marketing, principal Dale Naeseth is retiring after 43 years in the car and home audio markets. The home audio portion of N&S will be taken over by an N&S employee, said Oliver.
“We are honored that Dale has entrusted Oliver Marketing to pick up the torch the N&S team has built over the past 43 years,” said Oliver. “The addition of Barry and Ryan are key to the growth of our organization and we look forward to their contributions… Finally, we want to recognize Dale and his many contributions to our channel and market. Oliver Marketing was established in 1986 with multiple divisions selling to the Custom Installation channel, 12 volt retailers, regional chains as well as Costco Wholesale.
