The iPad is expected to catch on with businesses just as it’s caught fire with consumers. AT&T thinks so too as today the carrier announced it will sell Apple’s iPad 3G directly to business customers.
AT&T will offer post-paid 3G plans for the iPad beginning Thursday, October 28 for customers whose AT&T wireless bills are paid by their employer. The offering applies to all three iPad 3G models.
The iPad is winning a lot of attention from corporations. “We are getting many requests for help on iPad strategies for the enterprise,” said Ted Schadler, VP, principal analyst for Forrester Research in July. Also, Apple said in June that 50 percent of Fortune 100 companies were testing or using the iPad.
