Metra announced a new Axxess Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that can retain Ford SYNC, General Motors OnStar and other vehicle features.
The patent-pending DSP includes Metra vehicle interfaces in an all-in-one DSP integration device. So installers will not be required to purchase additional interfaces for GM chime, volume control, SYNC, OnStar and other factory features.
Metra says the DSP is “cost effective.” It offers Digital Amp Turn On capability and a fully adjustable 31 band graphic eq with Time Delay. It has a small chassis for easy installation behind the dashboard. It can be controlled over Bluetooth by a smartphone (Android or iOS) or a PC.
Axxess has also developed plug and play harness solutions for specific vehicles to further reduce installation time.
