The top AV car radio so far this year (January through October) was the Pioneer AVH4200NEX, as measured in dollars, according to The NPD Group.
The double DIN DVD/receiver, which includes CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7 inch screen had an average selling price of $628.
Pioneer swept all 5 of the top AV radio slots this year. (Note that Kenwood was not shipping products for several months this year, which likely affected year-to-date results).
The number two top-selling AV radio this year through October was the AVHX2800BS, a DVD/receiver with 6.2 inch screen, Siri Eyes Free, SiriusXM capability and Spotify control at an average selling price of $260.
All in all, three of the top five AV radios this year included CarPlay and two included both CarPlay and Android Auto.
