Sound quality competition is heading back to Perry, Georgia. The Southeastern International Sound Challenge takes place August 21 and 22, with ARC Audio on board as title sponsor.
Held in conjunction with the Florida Sound Quality Group, the event is a pure SQ show built around a money round, with four sanctioning organizations taking part: IASCA, MECA, EMMA and MASQ. The field is capped at 40 cars.
Organizers say the prize pool has already reached $14,000, and they’re aiming to push it past $20,000. Sponsors interested in getting behind the event are encouraged to reach out.
The challenge revives the spirit of the original Perry, Georgia sound-off, and organizers say they plan to bring back the big-show feel that event was known for.
