Compustar Reveals New CMR-710HD Vehicle Infotainment System with Built-in iDatalink Maestro

Press Release: LAS VEGAS, NV – Firstech, makers of the industry-leading Compustar brand, has officially announced its entry into the vehicle infotainment space with the introduction of the Compustar 710HD (CMR-710HD). The new 6.9-inch digital media receiver marks a major milestone for the mobile electronics industry as the first-ever vehicle infotainment system to feature a fully built-in iDatalink radio replacement module.

Firstech has served as one of the primary U.S. distributors for iDatalink Maestro since the brand’s inception. The
Compustar 710HD builds on this partnership by embedding Maestro’s vehicle integration technology directly into
the new receiver’s single DIN chassis.

Housing the Maestro module internally within the Compustar 710HD fundamentally changes the installation
process. It eliminates the need for technicians to purchase, flash, and mount a separate outboard module,
reducing bay time and freeing up limited physical space behind the dashboard. Because iDatalink Maestro Tharnesses plug directly into the back of the 710HD without additional adapters, the radio seamlessly retains
factory features such as climate controls, steering wheel inputs, and OEM cameras across more than 5,000
compatible vehicles.

In addition to its integration capabilities, the Compustar 710HD features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android
Auto, a 720p HD touchscreen, and a 13-band graphic equalizer equipped with time alignment and crossover
controls. The receiver includes HDMI and auxiliary inputs to support external media devices, as well as a digital
optical output for connecting an aftermarket amplifier or digital sound processor (DSP).

“We’ve spent the past couple of years developing the Compustar 710HD, and we are excited to finally deliver it to our dealers,” shares Jason Kaminski, Managing Director of Firstech. “We wanted to give the industry something different – a radio with features customer want, a clean interface that’s easy to use, and built-in Maestro integration that takes up less space and simplifies installation. We’re proud of where this product landed and look forward to sharing this solution with our dealers.”
