HogPlay, a collection of interfaces for Harley-Davidson and some Indian motorcycles, is offered by Tunes-N-Tint, a leading car audio dealer in Lakeland, FL.
When launched in 2024, HogPlay’s Wireless CarPlay Bypass dongle was one of the first on the market, said the shop. The dongle now also includes Wireless Android Auto and has sold close to 4-5,000 units.
HogPlay was created as Apple locks out CarPlay on newer bikes unless there’s an active Bluetooth headset or communicator paired to it (such as on the Skyline OS on 2024 and newer Touring models).
HogPlay emulates a paired Bluetooth headset so the factory Harley-Davidson radio (such as the Boom! Box GTS or Skyline) unlocks CarPlay and USB functions to work, without a paired physical helmet headset.
Tunes-N-Tint hired coders to develop HogPlay. And with Android Auto, Tunes-N-Tint owner Joe Cassity, who has done software development, did some of his coding along with “one of my guys who is geeky into Android.”
“With HogPlay we saw the need. Customers kept asking us for solutions,” said Cassity.
The HogPlay line has expanded and in June it was opened up to dealers. Some dealers are also now selling the device under their own brand, said Cassity.
HogPlay installs under the seat in less than 2 minutes. Street price is $99.

This March, HogPlay introduced its streaming MediaBox for Android Auto, allowing full Netflix, YouTube and Google Play store. Users can also add DVR/camera functions. Also new are USB Piglets: USB Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto plugin adapters.
For customer support, HogPlay swaps out devices, no questions asked. It walks dealers who need assistance through its tech support videos.
The basic Media Box (wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, audio/video streaming) has a street price of $199.99 and the step up, which adds apps from the Google Play store and increased SD card capacity up to 256GB sells at $249.99. There are also HogPlay full 7 inch radios with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto (with or without a DVR dashcam) at $499.99 or $399.99.
More recently, a number of Chinese companies began selling CarPlay bypasses. Cassity says, “When they have bugs or issues, good luck. A lot of the time they are car stuff that just got sold for motorcycles.” Many Harley riders “are not tech people. They are not going to search on how to hack their motorcycle. They want a premium solution that is going to work flawlessly,” he said.
Tunes-N-Tint, a long time car audio shop and member of the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America (MESA) buying group, has gradually become a leading motorcycle audio shop. It attends as many as a dozen major motorcycle rallies across the country each year and revenue from the rallies just about matches the shop’s revenues.
