MUSE Design Awards for Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT Platforms
Press Release (UNEDITED): SHENZHEN, China – MANGOAL today announced that its dash cam engineered for Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models has been named a Gold Winner at the 2026 MUSE Design Awards in the Product Design – Imaging & Vision category.

The competition is organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA) and recognizes design and innovation across industries.
Vehicle-Specific Design and Installation
Aftermarket dash cams typically use suction mounts, external power cables, and windshield-mounted housings. MANGOAL’s dash cam uses vehicle-specific housing modeling instead of a universal design.
Developed for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT platforms, the housing is installed into the vehicle’s auto-dimming mirror assembly, using a power harness routed through the factory wiring.
Design and engineering features recognized by the jury include:
- Geometric Housing Design: An asymmetrical side contour (U.S. Design Patent No. US D1,114,023 S) aligned with the windshield angle.
- Dual Sony STARVIS 2 Sensor Configuration: A 4K Sony IMX678 front camera and a 2K Sony IMX675 rear camera with High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability for low-light and high-contrast conditions.
- Temperature and Vibration Rating: Housing molded from flame-retardant PC+ABS with an aluminum-alloy heat dissipation system. Powered by a supercapacitor, the unit is rated for operation from -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F) and for off-road vibration.
- Physical Controls: No screen; the unit uses physical buttons, dual-color LED indicators, and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi with auto-sleep mode to avoid interference with wireless CarPlay.
“Winning Gold at the MUSE Design Awards validates our core belief: true technological innovation should complement the driver’s environment rather than disrupt it,” said Leo Wang, Founder of MANGOAL. “By blending factory-grade aesthetic continuity with cutting-edge optical performance, we provide vehicle owners and industry partners with intelligent, unobtrusive guardianship.”
