iDatalink ships car stereo APX kits for new Kenwood, JVC Direct Replacement radios.

Automotive Data Solutions Inc. (ADS), announced the initial shipment of its new iDatalink Maestro APX kits that work with KENWOOD and JVC Direct Replacement radios.

ADS said it received “a strong wave” of pre-orders for the APX kits, which offer advanced integration of the new KENWOOD/JVC class of radios that can replace the OEM screen with a direct fit 10.1-inch or 8-inch screen and detached radio brain.

The APX kits let users retain OEM functions and the OEM look, while eliminating the need for the large plastic panels seen in most dash kits. This allows larger screens and lets ADS supply a reduced number of kit SKUs to cover a wide range of vehicles.

Phase one the APX release, to ship in staggered intervals, will include 11 kit SKUs covering Ford, Chrysler, General Motors and Infinity/Nissan vehicles.

The iDatalink Maestro APX kits support Direct Replacement models including the JVC KW-Z800AW and KW-Z1000AW, as well as the Kenwood DAX8000S, Kenwood eXcelon Reference DAX800XR, and DAX1050XR.
