After more than 15 years as Editor and Publisher of CEoutlook, Amy Gilroy will be taking on a different role at the newsletter. James Chevrette, our Associate Editor will become Editor and Publisher, effective July 1 and Gilroy will serve as Senior Editor, continuing to write feature articles for CEoutlook each week.
Chevrette brings to the publication a strong technical background as well as experience in the sales and marketing of car audio. He has a deep appreciation and love of the industry and a desire to serve it through journalism.
He also brings new ideas and is helping generate new “eyes” on our industry news. For the past two months, James has worked avidly on boosting CEoutlook’s social media reach. He’s already taken CEoutlook social media impressions from just under 30,000 in May to 81,000 in just the first half of June, and impressions are climbing daily.

Chevrette has a long history in car audio. He installed professionally for 14 years and has served in tech support and as a national trainer for 10 years. He was a regional rep for 13 years. He has won several World Championships in car audio competitions. Alongside these he has been writing professionally since 2015 and he runs the Car Audio Obsessed You Tube channel.
Gilroy said, “I am looking forward to the fresh ideas James will bring to CEoutlook. For my part, I want to say that running CEoutlook has been the highlight of my career. I’ve enjoyed working with all of you and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so.”
Chevrette added, “CEoutlook has a proud history and the next chapter is about building on it. This industry has been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in audio and mobile electronics for decades and I am committed to shining a bigger spotlight on that innovation and the daily challenges and successes of the industry as well as the news of the day.”
