Titan launches 3D printed integration device company.

A new 3D printed integration kit company was launched at MasterTech Expo by an award-winning car audio/automotive customization retailer, Titan Motoring, TN led by CEO Philip Lindsley. Called Archetype, it will offer niche products starting with full radar integration kits.

The first three of four kits are on view at MasterTech Expo this week in Mesa, AZ. They are offered for Uniden radar detectors in partnership with its North American distributor, MSC.

Archetype’s Uniden full integration kits include pod mounts for sensors and button mounts inside the car for controls.  They are plug and play for specific vehicles, matching the interiors. They are also designed to be easily removed, said Lindsley.

The first packages will be available for the Ford F150, Cadillac Escalade, and Porsche 911 (2021 and up) to be followed by Tesla models.

Eventually, Archetype will offer between 10 and 15 kits for radar detectors. Additional kits for niche applications such as blind spot relocation kits for flat bed trucks will be offered in 6 to 12 months. When drivers remove the flatbed from their truck, they typically lose the blind spot detector.  Archetype will offer a relocation pod.

All in all, Archetype plans to offer 3D printed accessories “that nobody else is doing that might take hours and hours of time to scan, render, design and print,” said Lindsley.  He noted that dealers can “make a lot of money selling kits.  You’ll be able to double your money on the kits.”

Archetype kits are patent pending. One that might take 7 days for a retailer to complete can now be installed in 2 days, Lindsley said.

Titan will name a distributor for Archetype; it will not itself act as a distributor for the new brand, said Lindsley.

The first full integration kits will ship April 1 in the range of $1,200 to $1,500.  More information will be available in the future at www.archetype.form
