Alpine will re-enter the marine audio market in the second quarter with a full lineup including head units and powered enclosed subwoofers.
The company originally gave a partial glimpse of the new lineup at the IBEX Show last October.
The new products, on view at KnowledgeFest this week, are the first new Alpine marine audio products in over ten years.
Head Units
Alpine is launching two head units, an NMEA version (UTE-M801) and non-NMEA (UTE-M701) version with wireless remote control. Both units share these common features:
IP55 rated
2.8” Full Color TFT Display
MiFi Certified
17w RMS x 6 (six channel built in amplification)
Subwoofer control
The NMEA compliant head unit follows the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) protocol–an industry standard enabling marine electronic devices—such as GPS, sonar, and autopilots – to exchange data seamlessly. It is similar in usage to an automotive Can-Bus system.
Marine Amplifiers
Alpine’s IPX6-rated amplifiers come in three models. They offer a watertight top panel cover, salt and fog resistance and OEM-ready removable terminals.
Alpine marine amplifier models and specs:
M-A120M mono block – 1200×1 @ 2-ohms
M-A110V 5 channel – 125×4 @ 4-ohms and 600×1 @ 2-ohms
M-A60F 4 channel – 150×4 @ 4-ohms or 300 watts bridged
All amplifiers work with an optional Alpine RUX-M-UNIV marine bass knob accessory kit.
Speakers and Subwoofers
Alpine will offer three sizes of speakers available in both white and black grilles in 6.5-, 7.7- and 8.8-inch sizes with integrated RGB lighting. Also new are 600-watt subwoofers in 10- and 12-inch sizes.
These are joined by 8.8-inch tower speakers, available in white/black, with matching cosmetics to the rest of the marine line.
Alpine also released a marine IPX6 rated 8-inch powered subwoofer, the PWE-S8-MRN.
