RDVFL introduces its first universal car radio

RDVFL announced its first universal single DIN radio–the SDIN6. The Android-based deck offers both wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto and a three-year warranty.

Along with a 6.8-inch full HD (1080p) touch screen display, the deck has a conventional controller knob and front and rear camera inputs.

Other features of the SDIN6 include:

  • Auxiliary A/V input, Front & Sub RCA outputs (2V) with no fade
  • Built on Android 14 OS with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage: supporting YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Google Play Store and more
  • Factory-grade amplification (19 W×4)

Pricing for the SDIN6 is listed at $399.

RDV entered the car audio market in 2022, offering accessories such as wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapters. It recently branched out into vehicle-specific large screen radios, but the SDIN6 marks its first mainstream, universal deck.

  1. I’m genuinely curious: how much longer will companies like ZZLink and RFDL continue to treat us like idiots, simply importing products from China and claiming they “launched” them? This is getting out of hand. I find it disrespectful for them to even suggest they’ve launched anything when they’ve literally just brought a product over from China.

I noticed a comment above mentioning it’s a “$197 product from Alibaba.” While it is indeed from Alibaba, it’s not even a $197 product. It’s becoming an abuse that we’re expected to accept these subpar products that so many are pushing. Unfortunately, that specific radio is available on AliExpress for less than $80. Some sellers on AliExpress might charge a bit more, but it’s clear that ZZLink, RFDL, and similar companies are just importing items from China and attempting to sell them to us.

This situation is becoming both annoying and disrespectful. These companies aren’t contributing anything positive to the industry; they’re simply exploiting car stereo shops and milking us for profit. That particular radio, if you search on Alibaba under a different name or Google “Classic C1,” can be found for around $80—specifically, $89 online. Just search for “car audio Classic C1.”

This disrespect needs to end. Telling people they’ve launched something when they’re merely importing products from China and slapping a label on them is both annoying and disrespectful. It’s actively harming the industry, and it must stop.

The other one, MPPlay from ZZ, is like $36 on Alibaba. It has to stop. It is so destructive and disrespectful that we have to continue on this path. It’s getting annoying, and that’s why the whole industry is like this.

I understand. While we recognize that these are paid advertisements, it’s frustrating to read press releases that claim RDV launched a single CarPlay deck when they simply rebrand and resell products from other manufacturers. It’s reached a point where it’s quite disheartening.

    1. Hello David. Just to clear up a few points: it was CEoutlook that chose the word “launched,” not RDV.

No articles in CEoutlook are paid for. Anyone can send in a press release at no charge. (We once tried a paid article marked as “advertorial” and never ran one again).

Also, the companies you mention offer technical service based in the US. The RDV radio in the story has a 3-year warranty.

  2. I was looking for a cheap Android head unit months ago and found this one for $150-200 US from multiple countries. I ended up with a “Diamond” one. It has floating knobs with displays in the middles of them. No doubt that one will be sold by some brand name for $500, soon.
