General Motors continues its transition away from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity in its electric vehicle lineup, but some GM EVs continue to offer CarPlay and Android Auto in the 2025 model year.
GM Authority gives a model by model breakdown of which GM EVs still offer CarPlay/Android Auto. (Remember, these features are still available on GM gas-powered vehicles, but will be phased out of all GM EVs).
For the 2025 model year, CarPlay and Android Auto remain available on the Cadillac Lyriq, GMC Hummer EV (Pickup and SUV), Chevrolet Silverado EV (base WT trim only), and Chevrolet BrightDrop commercial van. The GMC Sierra EV does not offer these features in any trim level.
The Silverado EV WT and BrightDrop use an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in compatibility, navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The discontinued Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV (through 2023) included both CarPlay and Android Auto, but the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt will not be offering these features.
Cadillac’s EV 2025 model year additions – the Optiq and Escalade IQ and the upcoming 2026 Vistiq no longer offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Only the Lyriq and Lyriq-V currently offer these features through 2026.
