Hertz Marine intros high powered DSP amplifier for boats.

Hertz Marine will unveil a high-powered compact marine DSP amplifier at the IBEX Show 2025, October 7–9.

The new VENEZIA V8 DSPx², DSP/amp delivers up to 2,000 watts RMS total output and has Dual DSP architecture and Hi-Res Audio certification. Its continuous power ratings are:

Output Continuous Power (RMS) @14.4 VDC, 1% THD

  • 8 channels @ 4Ω: 160 W x 8
  • 8 channels @ 2Ω: 250 W x 8
  • 4 channels bridged @ 4Ω: 500 W x 4

“This makes the V8 DSPx² the most powerful and compact marine DSP amplifier in its class, designed to maximize installation flexibility without compromising performance,” said Hertz Marine.

The Dual DSP architecture in the VENEZIA V8 DSPx² means that the amplifier integrates two independent digital signal processors working in parallel for greater processing power: 14 fully processed channels at 96 kHz / 24 bit, with headroom for complex crossovers, time alignment, and EQ.

The DSP/amp is powered by the bit Wave platform exclusive to Hertz parent Elettromedia. It also uses Elettromedia’s patented EVOCA algorithm, which digitally models each speaker and cabinet in real time to reduce distortion, tighten bass response, and preserve clarity across open-air environments.

Unlike conventional amplifiers, the V8 DSPx² employs Responsive DSP profiles that automatically adapt to the boating scenario — from watersports to party decks — without the need for manual adjustments. The A2B digital bus further enables connectivity up to 32 synchronized DSP channels using just one cable, reducing wiring complexity and installation time.

Alongside the amplifier, Hertz will debut the Portofino Line, a new flush-mount speaker series designed for seamless integration across a wide variety of vessels. With ultra-slim magnetic grilles and refined Italian styling, Portofino includes two coaxial models, 6.5” (150 W Peak / 75 W RMS) and 7.7” (200 W Peak / 100 W RMS), plus two 10” subwoofers rated at 500 W Peak / 250 W RMS, available in 2Ω and 4Ω versions.

Hertz will exhibit at IBEX Booth TS03 at the Tampa Convention Center, Tech Trade Area, Upper Hall B – Electronic Instrumentation.
