HELIX is introducing the V TWO– a compact 2-channel amplifier designed for both stereo and bridged mono operation. The unit includes several innovations/cutting-edge features, including automated gain.

The amplifier has a control panel that provides both automatic and manual gain adjustment capabilities. The Auto Gain Ranging (AGR) function automatically detects connected source output voltage and adjusts input sensitivity accordingly, with manual override available in 0.5V increments from 0.5V to 8V. An integrated LED clipping indicator provides visual feedback during adjustment.

The V TWO delivers a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 109 dB and total harmonic distortion below 0.004% THD+N. Power output is 200 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms in stereo mode, increasing to 400 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. When bridged, the amplifier produces up to 800 watts RMS at 4 ohms.

The unit operates within an input voltage range of 6-18 volts, so it can accommodate electric vehicles.

The V TWO includes two specialized input configurations. The DirectDSP input bypasses traditional crossover circuitry for direct connection to standalone DSP processors or DSP-equipped amplifiers. The V-AMP Link high-level input accepts speaker-level signals from other HELIX V-series amplifiers, enabling daisy-chain configurations.

The V TWO incorporates Stabilized Output Power (SOP) technology, which maintains consistent power delivery during vehicle electrical system voltage fluctuations. This feature addresses common automotive audio challenges where alternator load variations can affect amplifier performance.

The HELIX V TWO is expected to arrive at dealers the second week of September.
