  1. You have got to be kidding $899 $,900 for a 6 / 9 and a 2 and 3/4 inch mid tweeter, I hope Jl audio goes out of business. They’re on their way real fast. Pricing items? Way way too high for what they are the executives. There must be just absolute idiots, they’re literally going to price themselves out of business, because no one’s going to spend nine hundred dollars for a six by nine speaker in a midtweeter, you’d have to be smoking crack to do something like that.

    1. People will absolutely spend $900 for a component system. I think the shock with these is that it’s the first expansion to the Custom Fit line and the price assumption based on the current 3.5 and 2.75 would put this around $399-$499. If this was marketed under the C6 line no one would bat an eye lid at the price.

  2. Are you kidding me. $ 800 for that. So many other better component sets you can buy for your money. WTH

    1. Most definitely! I don’t mind paying a bit more for “Made In America” and I don’t even mind paying a bit more to get a certain “Brand” but, JL has always upcharged the most outta every car audio company on everything they make, and that includes everything they have made in China as well! However, they continue to get away with it because you have those that will pay these absurd amounts just to say they have a JL system, when for the same $ they could’ve been twice as loud!? I’ll never understand it personally but, hey, thats just me… Alternatives just off the top of my head, though. Kenwood makes a nice set like this for certain GM vehicles that have the 6×9 in the door & the 2.75 for the dash, for around $229 – $279 last I remember. Pioneer does as well. Oh yeah, so does Alpine it’s their S series, and both have the 2.75 you need for the dash on basically all GM vehicles for the past decade, and both are priced similarly to the Kenwood from what I remember. Just incase you or anyone else were looking, and I can personally vouch for the sound quality being excellent on the Kenwood & Alpine but, im sure the Pioneer is up to par as well.
