With many manufacturers and distributors jumping into the 3D printing space for printed speaker mounts and accessories, Andy Wehmeyer of Audiofrog is offering a slightly different take on 3D printed applications.

Wehmeyer is shipping a solution that replaces the standard tweeter housing with a snap-in, 3D-printed adapter.  It offers a direct fit in the factory location.

Wehmeyer explained, “Our new kits use the exact same tweeter as the GB10/GS10, with a new snap-in tweeter housing that attaches in the same way as the OEM tweeter. This isn’t a CAD, 3D printing and assembly project for your installers. We design them. We assemble and test them. We ship them to you. You install them in five minutes—simple, straightforward and profitable.”

Audiofrog also offers select 3D printed mounting brackets for its GB25 and GB40 midrange speakers.  It will expand that as well as the tweeter offering as it is able, said Wehmeyer.

“Dealers need to be more efficient; we are shipping complete 3D printed kits to the dealer. No additional time is needed for the project, just open the box and install,” said Wehmeyer.

Installation guides for the tweeters with tips are available (click here for example).
