Press Release: The 12V Dashboard announced expanded support for add-on accessories and accessory vendors on its fitment guide for 12 volt retailers.
New supported vendors include Soundshield, Grom and First Automotive Products.
“We are expanding our offering to include add-on services. For example we just announced a partnership with John Schwartz and his Soundshield Team. 12v Dashboard software will now prompt the sales staff to offer sound deadener within installation notes,” said Tom Kolar, Director of Sales for the 12V Dashboard.
“We are also partnering with Grom and First Automotive Products. These companies offer unique solutions to consumers, and we want to keep retailers up to date on new or emerging products, to ensure every interaction with a consumer is an informed experience,” Kolar continued.
12v Dashboard has created a system that helps retailers with salespeople who work part-time or who are inexperienced in the 12-volt market by providing a fitment guide. It delivers a Crutchfield-type experience, showing which products fit in a customer’s vehicle, and offers a speaker selection tailored for brands both in-store and online.
The Dashboard also includes your competitor’s products. For example, if you are a JL Audio dealer but not a Rockford Fosgate dealer, the software will tell you if there is a solution only from XYZ company. David Hampson of the 12V Dashboard explained, “We rather you know of every solution, this gives you the ability to call a local distributor or refer them to a friendly retailer in the area. Regardless, your company looks professional, and the customer gets taken care of.”
The 12v software offers a vehicle check-in service 2.0. This includes a vehicle walk-around service, confirming the quote after staff have confirmed the installation requirements. Once the customer receives this email, he/she can just respond “approved” to the email.
The software includes detailed instructions for ANC microphones, amplifier locations, and speaker details. The system has yellow bubbles built in for important notes. For example, it can warn that if an OnStar module isn’t plugged in, the vehicle won’t start.
