Press Release: Over the 19 years Sundown Audio has supplied the mobile electronics industry, we have expanded our presence in North Carolina, growing to several locations across the state. Recently, Sundown Audio transitioned to a significantly larger manufacturing facility in Newton, NC—now home to much of the company’s domestic manufacturing.
Today, the majority of our high-wattage subwoofer drivers are hand-built in this Newton facility. Flagship products from the Mega Platform lineup—including the M Series, X, Z, NSV3, and Compact Neo—are primarily assembled in-house and can be tailored to meet the unique demands of virtually any application.
In the past year alone, we have built thousands of these premium subwoofers in-house, a testament to both increased customer demand and the company’s scalable production capabilities.
Consequently, Sundown Audio expects to experience a relatively low impact from the recent tariffs.
“Our ability to remain agile in the face of global economic shifts is a testament to the experience of our team and the foresight built into our supply chain strategy,” said Shawn Mayo, VP of sales at Sundown Audio.
Sundown Audio also recently launched a West Coast distribution center in Las Vegas. “This move has resulted in a marked reduction in both shipping costs and lead times for our West Coast partners. Transitioning from a single-location model based in Newton, North Carolina to a multi-node fulfillment network has dramatically improved our supply chain agility and positioned us to better serve our growing customer base with precision and speed,” said Mayo.
