After closing his retail shop Kingpin Car Audio a couple of years ago, Jason Kranitz, an award-winning retailer, began dabbling in motorcycle audio and found his niche.

He launched Vegas Hardbags with a focus on motorcycle audio and consumer education about the segment through online educational/installation videos.

Vegas Hardbags has partnered with Diamond Audio and Hertz to provide complete audio solutions using the brands’ audio equipment in combination with Vegas Hardbag installation hardware. Then it supplements these with  ‘how-to’ videos via YouTube.

Kranitz reconfigured his Las Vegas installation facility be to video-friendly, with over 20 video cameras and four separate studios.

Kranitz said he is, “leveraging my custom installation skills to produce amplifier mounting systems, saddle bag subwoofer port kits and custom bag-lid/cowling solutions. Our custom solution includes no wires altered, minimal cutting of metal, fairing or headlight tabs. Vegas Hardbags will be a complete solution, for customized audio for the customer’s preferences offering a large video component supporting this community.”

He continued, “…I want to share my day-to-day installations and educate motorcycle enthusiasts. I have attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota with Diamond Audio for the past three years, at the Diamond Audio Factory Store [offering on-site sales and installation]. I really noticed that enthusiasts love seeing people install products they are passionate about.”

Kranitz created a star system for customers to identify what type of audio they want for their motorcycle. The two types of audio systems are Highway (loud while driving) or Parking Lot (loud when parked). For example, if the customer wants to hear the music on the highway, “package A” may have 5 stars in the Highway category, but “package A” might only have 3 stars in the Parking Lot sound category. Using this formula, customers can visually understand what kind of audio system they will be getting with each package.

“It’s been a long road to get to this point, all my past accolades have led me to this. It has taken me two years to refine my vision, but I am 100 percent committed to launching this vision with our new brand Vegas Hardbags.”
