Trulli Audio is using its thin, cone-less speaker technology to launch new subwoofers (including an 18-inch model with a 4-inch mounting depth).

Trulli speakers use a magnet and voice coil that are wrapped around the surround to create a slim mounting depth.

For those who haven’t attended a recent KnowledgeFest, Trulli has been making an outsized showing. It recently took a booth the size of four large booths and it brought in 8 demo cars, an unusually large showing for a new brand.

One of the products making its debut was a 6.5-inch subwoofer, TD6.5s, shown in a F150 Raptor. This subwoofer is mounted in the OEM center channel position (see photo). TD6.5s feature a mounting depth of 2.23-inches while only weighing 2.42 lbs. with a 300-watts RMS power rating. The subwoofer launches next month, said Jordan Neuhauser Chief Experience & Marketing Officer.

Bobby Gately of Gately Audio was operating a Trulli demo vehicle by first demonstrating the system with the 6.5-inch woofer, then blending in 8 x 10-inch Trulli TD10S subwoofers in an isobaric or clamshell design acrylic enclosure.

Trulli also displayed an 18-inch shallow subwoofer that has only 6-inches of mounting depth and 4000 watts of power handling. Trulli will be also be releasing a second model with 2000 watt power handling with only 4-inches for mounting depth in the near future. We should know more on a release date on both products in the coming months.

Neuhauser said Trulli may bring the 18-inch subwoofer and wireless subwoofer technology into other industries, for example professional, commercial and residential applications.

The Trulli Bass 50, a wireless subwoofer system that can be transported from vehicle to vehicle, is entering the pilot stage of GUI testing. If all goes well, should be shipping by the end of summer.

  2. Ive Emailed this company in regards to becoming a dealer three different times without any response or contact. Crazy to think companies these days wont even take the sale when its thrown at them.
