Radical Full Car Audio Line to Launch From D’Amore Team

Two car audio innovators from D’Amore Engineering, Tony D’Amore and Juan Rodgriguez, along with Jason Digos (formerly of MSC, Elettromedia, Diamond Audio, Rockford) announced the launch of “revolutionary” new technology and a new car audio company.

The new company will debut head units, amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers for both car and marine applications. It will announce more details, including the company name, at the MasterTech Expo in Mesa, AZ March 20-23, and at an invitation-only pre-launch event on March 19.

A teaser video on the Mobile Solutions VIP Techs Facebook group hinted at new technology that allows an amplifier to run 6 to 60 volts DC, producing over 1,600 watts RMS at over 100 percent efficiency.

Tony D’Amore said, “I know it doesn’t sound possible. I agree with you. [But] it is. It will be revolutionary.”

D’Amore Engineering is known for its DD-1 Distortion Detector and other installer tools. Tony D’Amore helped develop the notable Rockford T15K, 17,000 watt RMS hybrid technology amplifier. Rodriguez developed the DD-1, which has sold over 20,000 units.

  1. If they have found a way to get OVER 100% efficiency… and are using this physics defying tech in the Car Audio business… They are idiots.

  2. Well 6 to 60v DC simply uses a boost converter to drive the actual switching supply at a constant DC voltage no matter the input voltage. So this is just a plain old lie “VIP Techs Facebook group hinted at new technology “. Boost converters are NOT new technology, they have been around for many years and I quote “The advent of a commercial semiconductor switch in the 1950s represented a major milestone that made SMPSs such as the boost converter possible. The major DC to DC converters were developed in the early 1960s when semiconductor switches had become available.”
    This “over 100% efficiency” is simply nonesense and again a lie. Amazing that CE Outlook can actually print this stuff is amazing.

    Well deserved for what???????

  3. >100% Efficency… Seems like there would be many more lucrative ways to make money with a team that has the ability to defy physics.
