King Boxes showed a console speaker enclosure with a built in radio opening at SEMA 2024.

King Boxes, the speaker box enclosure company, displayed at the SEMA Show last month, a prototype console enclosure that goes beyond the typical subwoofer box.

The prototype box is designed for older vehicles that may have offered only a single DIN radio.  It has space for a double DIN radio plus two 6.5 inch speakers and a 3.5 inch tweeter.  The prototype is designed for a Chevy Capris, model years 1978 and 1988, but the company can make many versions to fit other older car models, it said.

LEDs can also be added to the box.

King Boxes’ Jaysem Odeh said the the prototype enclosure is aimed at gauging dealer reaction to the unit.

In addition, King Boxes showed at SEMA its new Swing Gate box line, that attaches to the rear gate of a Jeep Wrangler model years 2007 and up.  It is a sealed enclosure that can hold a single 12-inch woofer. It will be followed by a version for the Ford Bronco.

King Boxes also showed new boxes covered in leather with RGB lighting that should be available around January 1, and accessories including its CCA and OFC amplifier kits.
