Our intrepid Contributing Editor, Rich Truesdell, has had a streak of bad luck which culminated in his motor home, his permanent residence, being stolen along with his worldly goods.
The motorhome has been found, but it is greatly damaged and will need much repair to be inhabitable.
Rich’s friend, and long time 12 volt industry veteran at Kenwood and Alpine, Keith Lehmann, has launched a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of Rich. We, at CEoutlook, are also sponsoring the campaign here: https://gofund.me/6cae4e63
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to restore the motorhome, if that proves possible. If not, Rich will have funds to find another residence.
Rich has been a good friend to the car audio and automotive industry over the years. He founded Kartunes Mobile Electronics in New Jersey in 1976 with a retail storefront from 1980 to 1992. He was editor of Car Audio and Electronics in 1997-98. He’s contributed to publications including Motor Trend and has been a full-time automotive journalist since 2000 to more than 30 magazines around the world. He is also the co-author of three books with collaborator Mark Fletcher; Hurst Equipped (2012), 1970 Maximum Muscle (2021), and Hemi Under Glass (2021). Truesdell even appeared on Jay Leno’s Garage!
