RDVFL announced it is shipping the first of its Tesla style radios for General Motors. The new 15.6-inch radio is designed for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pick up trucks, model years 2019-2023.
The model GM-SCREEN-19213S includes wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation and vehicle diagnostics. Users can access the factory radio features and can stream apps such as Netflix when connected to WiFi. They may access the Internet via a Chrome browser. The unit offers 1920p full HD resolution and has a sim card slot. Rich De Sclafani, founder of RDVFL, said the radio is “super responsive” and has “no lag.”
RDVFL entered the Tesla-style radio market last year, initially for high end vehicles from Maserati, Bentley and Infiniti. This new radio marks its first foray into domestic vehicles.
De Sclafani said RDVFL will expand into other domestic vehicles as well as additional luxury vehicles.
The new GM-SCREEN-19213S radio offers plug and play installation and a three-year warranty.

I agree with Carlos, anyone selling those cheap Android radios has no idea how bad things can get if their customers kill someone for driving while watching a YouTube/Netflix video. It seems that nobody cares that these products are not certified or comply with licensing agreements that the major players have to pay for. I’m not saying don’t offer anything innovative, please do but, the correct way to contribute to our industry.

Does YouTube work while in motion? Can YouTube and/or similar video in motion be blocked for safety?
It probably works because this is not a licensed unit. It is probably using a tablet/phone operating system. That’s why Google play is available on it. This means it isn’t licensed because Apple and android cannot allow by law that Netflix etc being available while having CarPlay and android auto on it. That’s why Tesla doesn’t use CarPlay and android auto. However Tesla uses a different operating system. I wish more of us where educated about this and wouldn’t support all these products that can come back and be a liability for us who install them if someone has a crash while watching Netflix while driving!
