After announcing it is reinstating distributors in some markets, MTX named its initial three partners: Vickers AV, Mid-State Distributing, and Tri-State Enterprises.
MTX cancelled its distributors ten years ago in order to re-stabilize pricing as the brand was discounted on the internet.
The company is rebuilding the brand and plans to introduce 50 new products over the next six months, in addition to new products in 2025.
Vickers AV will serve as the MTX distributor in the Southeast. It is able to ship products from Atlanta for next-day delivery throughout most of the territory.
VP of MTX Jason Fikas said of Vickers, “Our founders, Loyd Ivey and Ralph Vickers, were friends and business partners decades ago, and both companies are second-generation and family-run.”
Mid-State will handle the territory of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Fikas said, “Mid-State has been a key player in this industry for as long as I can remember, and they have an exceptional reputation for prioritizing the needs of their dealers and manufacturing partners.”
Tri-State will handle the territory of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Fikas said, “We had an excellent relationship with Roger and his team at Tri-State in the past, and we’re eager to collaborate more closely than before and support each other’s growth in the coming years.”
