MTX began shipping the full line of new Terminator amplifiers on Friday.
The company said the new line is testing with 10 to 25 percent headroom on current RMS power ratings so that a 500 watt rated amplifier may offer 560 or more watts, according to Jason Fikas, MTX Vice President.
The line is MTX’s first in several years outside of powersports products.
The new Terminator amplifier line includes six Class-D models including a 5-channel version. They are more compact than their predecessors and include features such as high and low-level input, variable crossovers, updated direct-Insert terminals, protection indicators and short, thermal, and under/over-voltage protection.
Mono-block models also include Bass Boost technology along with a Subsonic filter and a Remote Bass Control knob. Each amplifier ships with its individual bench test ratings in a “birth certificate.”
Mono amps range in power output from 150 watts RMS to 400 watts into 4 ohms. Multi-channel amps include models in configurations of 50 watts RMS x 2, 50 watts x 4 and 50 watts x 4 + 300 watts into 4 ohms.
Pricing ranges from $199.95 to $329.95 for mono models, $449.95 for the 5-channel TN800.5, $249.95 for the TN300.4 and $199.95 for the TN150.2.
