Garmin is shipping two new JL Audio speaker series including the C6, a new premium line just under the flagship C7 speakers, and a new Custom Fit drop-in speaker line.
The C6 borrows technology from the C7 line. It uses premium, 1-inch silk dome tweeters and 6.5-inch component woofers. It is available as a 2-way component system with passive crossover network or as individual speakers for active system applications.
Features:
- Motor plates with JL Audio proprietary DMA-optimized technology help create linear motor force under power, leading to greater mid-bass impact and low distortion.
- Cast alloy frames include Elevated Frame Cooling, while the large diameter, linear profile and flat spider design help provide linear compliance and improved excursion capability.

Custom Fit Series
The new series is designed for premium, direct fit, factory speaker replacement. The line fits in most popular vehicles including models from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Toyota and others.
The speakers use compact composite frames with breakaway mounting tabs and built-in, low-profile grilles to fit a wide range of factory speaker locations.
The Custom Fit speakers are offered in two sizes – 2.75-inches and 3.50-inches. They can be used as mid-tweeters in passive systems or in active systems as mid-range drivers or mid-tweeters.

- Ultra-light, fiber-reinforced pulp cone features a custom “S” roll surround for better efficiency and extended high-frequency response.
- DMA-optimized motor systems help create greater linearity and lower distortion.
