KICKER provided details on its new loaded subwoofer enclosures that are specific to popular trucks. Two of the three new models are now shipping. The boxes fit under the seat and are loaded with dual Solo-Baric L7T square subwoofers, with a power handling of up to 1,200 total watts. Pricing starts at $799.99.
The model KFDL7T was designed to fit many Ford trucks and the KGMDL7T was designed for many Chevy and GMC trucks. They are down-firing enclosures loaded with 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers, respectively.
They will be followed later this quarter by the up-firing KRDL7T for various RAM truck models. It uses 10-inch L7T pre-installed grilles.
The enclosures are covered in thick black carpeting with extensive internal bracing to keep them stable. They are pre-wired to a single two-ohm terminal for easy installation.
The L7T subwoofer’s extended top plate includes a “bumped” design for extra excursion and the L7T’s square cone provides up to 20 percent additional cone area compared to a standard round sub, said KICKER.
