Morel is shipping new ultra slim subwoofers under the Ultimo PowerSlim series offering mounting depths of only 3 inches. They were designed to work well in both vented and sealed enclosures.
The series won the 2023-2024 EISA award for “Best In Car Subwoofer”
A 10-inch subwoofer has a mounting depth of 3.1 inches and a 12-inch version has a 3.4-inch mounting depth. They use a 4 -layer carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb cone and 5.1 inch diameter voice coils with up to 700 watts power handling.
The subwoofers are optimized for small sealed enclosures of 1/2 cubic foot and 0.8 cubic feet, respectively, for the 10 and 12-inch models. They are now part of a soft launch shipping at $749 and $799.
Morel’s Casey Thorson said the subwoofers perform “with all the output and dynamics of Morel’s traditional subwoofers, yet in half the space.”
