Hertz showed at KnowledgeFest in Las Vegas, a new line of entry level amplifiers that are shipping now.

The DPower line is the company’s first entry level line in the $199 to $299 amplifier sector.

DPower amplifiers include a built-in speaker load so factory amplifiers and radios won’t turn off when connected to these amps.

Elettromedia, Hertz’ parent, calls the feature USS (Universal Speakers Simulator). The company said this is unique feature for the price range.

DPower amplifiers include a mono model, DP 1.500 rated at 280 watts @4 ohms/500 watts @ 2 ohms at $249. It is joined by a 2-channel, model 2.300 at $199 rated at 80 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms, 110 x 2 watts @ 2 ohms and 220 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms.

Next in the line are two 4-channel models– the DP4.300 at $269 is rated at 60 x4 watts @ 4 ohms/85 x 4 watts @ 2 ohms. In 3 channel mode, it is rated at 60 x 2 watts, 170 x 1 @ 4 ohms and in 2 channel mode, it is rated at 170 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms.  The DP4.400 at $299 is rated at 75 x 4 watts @ 4 ohms/105 x 4 watts @ 2 ohms.  In 3 channel mode, it is rated at 75 x 2 watts, 210 x 1 watts @ 4 ohm and 105 x 2 watts/ 210 x 1 watts @2 ohms. In 2 channel mode it is rated at 210 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms.
