Car audio buying group, the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America (MESA) announced a partnership with job finding site ZipRecruiter, that will expand the ability of MESA dealers to fill help wanted positions for installers, salespeople and other employment positions.
There are currently 100 MESA member job postings up on ZipRecruiter through the partnership, which pools MESA applications into one area on ZipRecruiter. This elevates every job posting by MESA to what is known as Enterprise level on the site. This gives each of the postings a broader reach, and extends them beyond the typical 12 volt job pool, said MESA Executive Director Ryan Gunter.
“Instead of a retailer logging into ZipRecruiter and paying them to post a single job, by combining this into one landing page for MESA, it does a couple of things,” said Gunter. “It increases our exposure inside of ZipRecruiter and it helps the AI in ZipRecruiter if someone is looking for any type of the qualifications.” So it would broaden the search to mechanics or other automotive installers, for example
It also helps searches on Google, as many applicants simply type in “jobs near me” on Google.
“Several of our members have been looking to fill positions for years and some filled those job postings within weeks because of this relationship,” Gunter said.
The partnership soft launched in December and officially kicks off this month. In the first 30 days of the soft launch, MESA members received 436 job applications.
“The main reason we put this together is to increase our foot print and to expand our horizons to reach outside our industry and attract more people,” Gunter added.
