While the automotive world still waits for the formal introduction of the new Toyota Stout–a compact pickup truck competitor to Ford’s Maverick—we have news on another important Toyota vehicle, the all-new 2025 Camry sedan, which is the best selling sedan in America.

The Camry has sold almost 200,000 units thus far in 2023.  And while most manufactures have abandoned the midsize and large sedan market, Toyota has gone all-in to fill the void.

As you can see from the dash of the outgoing 2024 model compared to the 2025 version, the difference is like night and day. Where the outgoing model looks dated, the new look is contemporary as multiple screens now dominate the cockpit.

The 2025 Toyota Audio Multimedia System includes a standard 8-inch touchscreen display or a step-up 12.3-inch screen. The system includes standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and it pairs well with the standard Qi wireless charging pad. The Camry also offers a standard combination of USB-A and USB-C ports, with three in the front and two in the rear across all grades.

The nine-speaker JBL Premium Audio system continues as the top audio upgrade. 12-volt retailers will see the best interface and upgrade opportunities on new 2025 models not equipped with the JBL-branded system. At this point there is no indication that a higher-end system will be offered, at least not when the 2025 model is introduced. So continue to look for opportunities to sell upgraded amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers especially to customers who come in with the standard-level audio system.

Takeaways: Toyota will be making a first quarter push to clear the lots of the outgoing 2024 models so you might see an uptick in 2023 models in the shop. That said, Toyota currently has less than a 40-day supply of new vehicles on dealer lots.  That’s while some car makers are facing a 100-day supply  (60 is average) as new car sales are down, due in part to rising finance rates.

The new 2025 Camry will go on sale in late spring 2024 as a 2025 model.
