ESCORT announced a successor to its MAX 360c portable radar/laser detector. The new MAX 360c MKII has 50 percent improved detection range and faster response times for alerts. It also has improved software for filtering false alerts from Collision Avoidance Systems, Blind Spot Monitoring and other false radar signals for a “dramatically quieter ride,” said ESCORT.
The MAX 360c MKII uses a new Blackfin DSP chip and a new software defined radio (SDR) chip. Another improvement over the original 360c is dual-band WiFi (versus the former 2.4 GHz WiFi).
As a connected device it works with a shared network of drivers who report over 100 million alerts each year.
The original MAX 360c launched 5 years ago and has been a best selling ESCORT detector, said the company.
The ESCORT MAX 360c MKII is currently available on escortradar.com, bestbuy.com and, in October, at most Best Buy locations for $699.95.
