De Sclafani Launches New Company

A veteran of the 12 volt interface industry, Rich De Sclafani, announced he has formed his own company out of Pompano Beach, FL called RDV Automotive Technology.

RDV will offer vehicle specific wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto interfaces that work through factory controls, backup camera interfaces, OEM fit handle cameras, video streaming interfaces and interfaces that convert wired CarPlay and Android Auto to wireless.

The products are from leading factories, and the focus on RDV will be on service and support.

“I’ve made my name on the support side of the business, always offering good quality products as well. …I’m always there when someone needs me, 10 o’clock at night, weekends, that’s my biggest focus…” De Sclafani said.

RDV’s initial focus will be on wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto interfacing. Eventually, De Sclafani hopes to distribute products for other manufacturers who are not yet active in the US market.

RDV will display at KnowledgeFest in Orlando, FL, June 10 – 12.

De Sclafani’s first employees include his two daughters Karina and Angelina and he will add “someone in sales and support” shortly.

RDV will handle all warehousing, sales and technical support for its products.  RDV products are shipped  Monday-Friday. Orders are processed and shipped the same day if placed before 5pm.

De Sclafani has been in the automotive electronics industry for over 25 years, starting his career as an installer, specializing in wiring and circuitry. He has been a retail manager and expediter manager. On the supply side, he has held posts as a test engineer, sales manager, technical support manager, and product trainer. Most recently, he was Vice President at ZZ-2.
