Press Release: LAS VEGAS– KENWOOD USA introduced a fourth entry in its dashcam line up at CES.

The new DRV-A700WDP is a stealth dual dashcam with front and rear recording cameras.  The screenless dashcam allows dealers to create a system that stays out of sight but is easily accessed by a smartphone to wirelessly play back and edit videos, download videos to the phone, upload videos directly to social media, access GPS information while viewing on Google Maps, and control all the settings of the system.

The front camera has a lens rotation of -90° to 40° and includes a high-quality 3M tape style mounting system.  The rear camera, which includes a 26’ cable to connect to the front camera, records in Full HD of 2 million pixels. This is also the recording resolution when both cameras are recording simultaneously.  Both cameras record at 30 frames per second and include a 1/2.8 CMOS sensor.

The system offers a “parking mode” that enables the camera to power on and automatically record 30 seconds of video if the vehicle is subject to a collision or other physical impact.

The DRV-A700WDP includes a Wide Quad HD (2560 x 1440) front camera and Full HD (1920 x 1080) rear camera.   It comes with a quick release magnetic mount and is scheduled to begin shipping later this month an MSRP of $269.95.
