PAC announced the release of its new RadioPRO Integrated Installation Kit for RAM Trucks.
The RPK4-CH4101 kit lets users replace RAM’s 8.4-inch radio with an aftermarket radio. It includes built-in climate control retention for 2013 – 2018 RAM trucks and 2019 RAM Classic.
It features a 5.2-inch LCD touchscreen control panel for viewing performance gauges, climate control functions, camera selection and other vehicle settings.
The touchscreen is controlled by swiping and tapping as on a smartphone or tablet, and it displays factory-like graphics, said PAC.
The kit comes with climate control knobs and buttons and it retains steering wheel controls, a reverse camera, an amplified audio system, warning chimes, and more.
As many aftermarket radios do not support USB Hubs, PAC includes a replacement USB hub. It has USB, HDMI, and 3.5mm aux connections, and factory-matched plastics to replace the factory USB hub, which would most likely not be compatible with a new radio. The hub will be available in first quarter of 2020, and PAC has a website setup for owners to register their kit to receive a free hub when it’s available.
The RPA-16P5V 5 camera input harness is available separately for adding additional cameras. Also available is the APH-CH01 AmpPRO Speaker Harness, a plug-in harness for bypassing the factory amplifier.
