Focal will ship in January a new line of Harley-Davidson speakers, announced Orca Design and Manufacturing, which distributes Focal in the US.
The line includes four models that fit years 1998-2013 and 2014 to present. The new kits allow speaker replacement without altering the Harley dash design.
The HDK165 series is based on Focal’s K2 cone and the matching tweeter is based on Focal’s M-shaped converted Kevlar dome. Model numbers for the series are HDK165-98/2013 and HDK165-2014UP.
The Focal Inside HDA165 series is modeled after Focal’s Access speaker line. Paired with an aluminum inverted-dome compression tweeter, the HDA165 series provides superior dynamics at a more affordable price point, said Orca. Model numbers for the series are HDA165-98/2013 and HDA165-2014UP.
Each of the models includes grilles and installation hardware. MSRP for the HDA165 series is $1,100, while the HDA165 series will retail for $500.
